The location was perfect, near Cartmel and with lovely views. The staff was responsive and even allowed us a late check-out when our car broke down.

Spacious Cottage: The cottage was incredibly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and unwind. It felt like we had our own little slice of paradise, with enough space to comfortably fit all of our belongings and still have room to spare.

Overflowing Bins: The only minor issue we encountered during our stay was that the rubbish/recycling system seemed a bit chaotic. We were asked to reorganize the previous guests' rubbish as the council would not collect it, which was not a pleasant task.

The decorations in the cottage were absolutely lovely, with charming details that made it feel like a cozy home. The general areas were spacious and easy to move around in, which was perfect for us seniors. It was also great to see that the hotel was accessible, with no stairs to climb and handrails in the bathroom for extra support.

The only thing I would ask for is a bit more assistance from the children working there. As seniors, we sometimes need a little extra help with carrying our bags or getting settled in.

The holiday home is in an area where I can hike and cycle, and it even has a balcony and log burners! Towels are available, so I don't have to bring my own.
